Me: “Only when a big bus or truck goes by, or if you live in a place where there are earthquakes.”

Them: “Tell me more about earthquakes.”

Me: “They happen when there is pressure from the center of the Earth that needs to be released. The ground shakes and sometimes breaks open.”

Them: “What is the pressure?”

Me: “I don’t really know. I just heard that once in awhile there is pressure that needs to be released.”

Them: “OK. Do you think the floor of the ocean could ever split open?”

Me: “No.”
